Violinist Asi Matathias, protege of Pinchas Zukerman, is the recipient of the 2017 'Salon De Virtuosi' Career award.
The award Ceremony concert will be broadcasted on WQXR in mid January and narrated by Robert Sherman.

The New York based SDV has granted career grants to many of the worlds leading soloists; Among them are Lang Lang, Gil Shaham, Ilya Itin and Avi Avital. 
Some of the esteemed members of the organization that act as artistic advisers are Emanuel Ax, Itzhak Perlman, Robert sherman and Gary Graffman.
